Everything Everywhere All At Once
Everything, Everywhere, All At Once
Acting- This movie has another amazing performance form Michelle Yeoh, as a mother who is trying to keep her business afloat while dealing with her daughters homosexuality, her husband wanting a divorce and this little multi-universe thing when an evil comes to her universe and she must tap into her other universe selfs to defeat it.
Story - I challenge anyone to come up with a more original concept than this. I mean Michelle plays easily 100 characters in this film, albeit some for a flash of a second. There is so much humor, heart, pathos, and redemption in this story, its absolutely brilliant and gives me hope for the fantasy genre as a whole.
Direction: The Daniels (as they are listed) crafted a masterpiece with this film. It could have been 10 minutes shorter, but it was good. The fight choreography is top notch.
Editing: Dear God, most of this movie felt like a music video.
Overall: See this movie, I will be shocked of this is not on my top ten of the year thus far and I would love to see Michelle in awards consideration for it.
